How do I know what to choose? Why should I be using (or not using) these systems?
Well structured electronic health records (EHRs) are essential if we are to obtain a sustainable health system capable of providing safe and high quality healthcare whilst meeting all necessary health care demands. In this scenario health care Consumers and Patients need to increasingly assume greater responsibility for their own health and care management supported by eHealth technologies and where appropriate their carers. Consumers, patients and carers need to have some foundational understanding and knowledge to make the best possible use of these new technologies.
